With apologies to Darby Conley, I couldn't let this one pass up.

I added new flash animations on my website, purloined from basically everywhere on the net. You can now play:
Slap the Ho! | Smack the Penguin |
Also, I made another user icon, that should now be considered in the vote, along with the others. BTW, thanks for the feedback on that :) Here it is:
Teehee. I'm getting good at flirting.
Now I know that's a self-serving comment if I ever heard one, but tonight, I rocked :) I was chatting with someone from LL, who's really cute, funny, but really, really reserved. I've been talking to this woman for almost 3 weeks now. The first few times I tried to invite her to a movie, to coffee, a drink, a walk on the mountain, whatever, it's always… “we'll se”.
A few days ago, I kinda lost it and asked her if I should just stop talking to her cause I didn't have a chance in hell, or something. She said no, she was just really, really careful about meeting people. So I left it at that, and just continued with the occasional chatting.
So tonight, she's online, and we start talking. And for the hell of it, I start flirting a bit. And I ROCKED. I was charming, I was witty, it was coming naturally. It felt GOOD. :) We chatted for something like a half hour. Even if nothing ever happens with said person, at least I know I can flirt with the best of 'em, when the muse strikes me.
Now I just need to find a good muse :)
I'm thinking of changing some of my LJ user icons.
You've already seen:
Tiger eye
Happy Bunny
Sleepy Cat
Since I'm on a free account, and am a cheap bastard, I can only have 3 user pics. The following also caught my eye though:
I like muffins
Duncan
Zoot
Transformer
Which ones would you pick and choose, if you were in my shoes?
Just came back from an enjoyable night with eniran. In case I hadn't mentioned it before, she's a great person to be around. She had me laughing all evening. Seeing her in a toy store is something else. She was kind enough to drive me there for an errand I wanted to do.
After that, we had dinner (sushi!) and spent a wonderful hour listening in to other people's conversations, point out badly dressed individuals, and just talking about stuff (mostly naughty things – teehee). After that, we went to Hurleys, for more random chatting, boobie grabbing (just once, but still, it maintains the tradition of boobie grabbing every time I'm there with her and/or with strychnyn) and booze. There was much laughter, which was very therapeutic today.
We ran into a barmaid that served us the last time we had a drink together. She remembered us, apparently we were having a bad night that night :) She was kind enough to drive me home afterwards, so I was able to bring my rice cooker home from the office. I'll be able to practice making sushi so it doesn't taste like paste (I still owe her, her girl, bouste and strychnyn a sushi dinner).
So, I'm full with good food capped off with a nice pint of Bass, I'm home with my new teddy bear (I couldn't resist, he's too cute) and I'm all laughed out for tonight. All in all, a very good way to spend an evening.
Nighters all.
I was having a really bad morning. I'm a bit blue these days. Mostly, it's due to having a lot on my mind right now. Looking for roommates, money, the lack of romance in my life, among others. I just want to thank my friends who spent a part of the morning chatting with me, cheering me up, and making me laugh. That was nice, it hit the spot, and I needed that.
Thank you ladies.

I haven't been swindled this badly in a LONG time.
Premise: Benefit concert at the OSM with Yo-Yo Ma. I've been dying to hear him play for ever. I love his works, and finally, here's my chance. I bought the tickets months ago. It cost me 120$ (keep in mind a regular OSM concert ticket is dirt cheap, maybe 40$).
Actuality: The concert lasted all of one hour and twenty minutes. There were 3 pieces. Yo-Yo played only one of them, a cello concerto by Schumann, and was on stage for AT MOST 25 minutes. They were quite good minutes, but still. The other hour was OSM only. The first piece, something by Ravel, was quite ordinary. The last piece, the Romeo and Juliet suites by Prokofiev, were enjoyable (except for an unidentified wind instrument that kept playing off-key), but weren't enough to counterbalance the immense feeling of being royally fucked in the ass.
Overall, I give the concert 4.5/10.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
