Ever since I put Boris on an adult cat food diet (Purina One instead of Science Diet kitten formula), his litter box smells like something out of a psycho nightmare. Is this normal? Anybody ever had something similar happen? Which good cat food would you recommend? His kitten food poo was never this bad.

Strong and/or weird smells are not all that normal. Yeah, changing Boris' diet is definitely something to try.
We've had good results with Iams. No litter box problems that I recall.

Is his food dry? If you switched from dry to canned, then it's because of that. But if from one dry food brand to another, I have no idea. By the way, try Nutrience, they make them for cats as well.

I've had good results with Iam food, it makes the fur really soft too (and the cat happy) :)
but whatever the brand you choose, stay away from seafood flavours, unless you want to “change” the toxic waste gaz produced by the kitty…

Best food for kitties, by far, is Medi-Cal. You can buy it in at Vet clinics. My father (the vet) will not allow his animals to eat anything else. And my cat's coat has never looked so amazing as when she is eating this food. Dry food is better for cats, because it helps keep their teeth clean (I don't know what you're using… just thought I would mention it).
Just my 2 cents.
Ciao
