Last night, it was Big Gay Al's Big Gay Boat Ride. Today, it's Mr. Hanky the Christmas Poo.
I have been singing that stupid song since I woke up. Please, somebody hit me now.
My master plan to spoil Katy is progressing nicely. The shiny, pretty thing surprise is in the works. The soft, shiny, naughty surprise is already packed. The soft, comfy surprise is in the process of being made. The entertaining, dazzling surprise is confirmed and waiting for us in London. *contented sigh*
Nice to see a master plan progressing nicely.
Carry on, carry on, I say.
Oh, and btw, it's snowing outside.

It's a longshot, a really big one. I'm qualified for the job, and Shibl tells me I should take it if they offer it to me, but I really don't know what I'd to with McGill if they say yes. I'll cross that bridge if I need to. The upside is that the EMBL is a top-rated place to work, and it'd be only 1h away from Katy :)
We'll see. the job offer closes on the 30th of november. I'll keep y'all aboobie of the situation.
…a horse eating a banana.
Thanks judyna!
Edit: Added the colour version during my lunch break :D Fear my mad photoshopping skilz.
Fuuuuuuuck.
I just came back from my parents' place in a rush because I'd invited people over to my place for an AD&D night. So what happens? They cancel, without bothering to call me. I had to go online and check my email when they were one hour late.
That, I am sorry to say, is unacceptable. I could have spent a lovely evening with the parental units, instead of being all pressed for time.
Blerhg.
Conversation with my mom:
Me: Which do you think would freak out dad more, if Trading Spaces came knocking, or What not to wear?
Mom: What not to wear. Could you imagine those two coming in and throwing out all the old clothes he lives in?
… and then both of us burst out laughing, with images of shotguns being used on those poor hapless fashionistas.
Spent a part of the afternoon watching wood burn in the fireplace, speaking with Katy. Remember sweetie, a horse eating banananananananas.
Off to read a bit, night!
…making users happy, one application at a time.
Just finished installing apps on my dad's computer. He's happy as a clam now that he can do spreadsheets and has a calendar/agenda app. Just doing some finishing touches on the firewall and security settings, and my work here is done. On the flipside, I'm eating mom-baked chocolate cake :D hmmmm, cake!
Something right out of the blue: Tia called. Poor thing was going nuts because her broadband was out. I don't know if I did her a service by pointing out that her laptop had a build-in modem…
Going to take it easy today. It's a perfect day to do nothing. I'm going to go downstairs and stare at the fire. Yup, that's the plan.
Etienne gave me a ride to the parental units' place tonight. I have to say that I wasn't the best company in the car, as my usual defense mechanism (i.e. falling asleep in any sort of transportation vehicle) coupled with the heating in his car kept making me fall asleep.
I'm here this weekend to do a few errands: fix my dad's computer, get my kimono patched up (it was torn in a moment of … ahem… enough of that) and deliver a cock to my mom. I'm also bringing Katy's jeans here so they can be shipped back to the UK.
Slow but busy weekend ahead. I have tons of work-related reading to do, which I'll get done while I'm re-installing apps on my dad's computer. Oh, and I found a stow-away in my bag while I was unpacking. A certain lion is now on my bed downstairs :)
