*happy sigh*
Spent a lovely evening with the Katygirl. We cooked too much food (hmmm, bisto!) and ate ice-cream profiteroles slathered in melted chocolate. Katy got me a board game and the DVD of Mary Poppins (hence the Chim-Chim-Chimny theme of this post). I got her a silver bracelet† and two cute valentine cards I saw at Chapters. It was a lovely evening, and I get to end it sleeping next to the woman I love. There's nothing else to say, really.
† It's pissing me off to no extent that it's just a *bit* too small :( I'm going to pop by the shop tomorrow to see if they can add a link in it to make it less snug. She genuinely loves it, which is good, but I still feel bad that it's too small, poo. If they can't add a link, I'll take it to my silversmith to have it worked on.
Isn't it nice to have a silversmith handy?

and she's good, too! Have I shown you her work?

wow. i actually had to think about why you were giving each other presents.
wonder how long it'll be till the full force of valentine's day hits austria.
here, you just give flowers to your loved one… oh, and often the shops/political parties/restaurants/whatever give flowers to the ladies.
but no valentine cards, no “be my valentine”, and few, if any, presents.
though that last part is changing, i think.
oh dear, it'll be hallowe'en all over again! ;)

we exchanged prezzies cause it was the first valentines for us as a couple and we felt like it.

the funny thing, though, is that it hadn't occurred to me that it was valentine's day – even though i had seen all the valentine postings and even got a flower after choir practice…
it just… doesn't seem so present here as it is elsewhere.

aaaah, gotcha.

I had the same reaction! I was totally like: “why did they get so many presents?” And then it hit me and I felt like the dumbest person alive. ;D

…thank god for inverse twins.
