Since all the cool kids are doing it, I will write an end-of-year review. 2005 was a very chaotic year. Some very high points, a very low ones.
I went from living in Montreal, surrounded by friends and family (with all the insanity and giggles that entails) to living with my now-fiancee in Cambridge. I have made new friends, lost contact with some old, and will shortly become part of another family.
I went from a job that bored me to tears to one I enjoy waking up to go to.
I have been to London, Munich, Geneva and Pascoli. I have spent more time in airports in one year than ever before in my life.
I am coming to terms with my allergies and discovering all sorts of new recipes to try.
I am also realizing that I've passed 30 and I seriously need to overhaul some aspects of my lifestyle or I won't make it to 40 (mostly because of stress and a good dose of hypochondriasis).
I have experienced happiness because of love. I have experienced frustration and anxiety because of love. I have realized that you need to be happy for yourself, because nobody else will.
From all of this, I have come to the following resolutions for this year:
– find a pet-friendly apartment in Cambridge
– get healthy. I need to lose 4 stone, preferably 6.
– save money.
– socialize more and visit more of Cambridge and the UK.
