Christmas has officially been declared
That’ll do for a start, but we might need to restock in a couple of days.
BSI Christmas lunch
The team went to lunch yesterday at Ko-An,a very nice sushi restaurant in Lutry, and then we went to the Alimentarium in Vevey for a Christmas chocolate workshop. The lunch service wasn’t all that fast, but the food was really, really good! Afterwards, we made a Christmas chocolate cottage. It was funny as anything to watch a bunch of adults in silly plastic aprons concentrating completely on trying to work chocolate. Even the workshop facilitator commented to his assistant how quiet everyone was :)

Being Christmassy and stuff
We did Christmassy stuff this weekend. We went to the Montreux Christmas market on Saturday, where we ate foie gras sandwiches, tartiflette, drank mulled wine, rode the ferris wheel and spent too much money. On Sunday, we put up the Christmas tree and hung up Katy’s homemade wreath.

It’s post Halloween, bring on Christmas!
Last year, we didn’t have a chance to put up the Christmas display. This year, we’re starting early. The truly sad part is that I have about just as much stuff still in storage. We’ll need to reorganise the flat next year to get everything out :-)

Cats, or Happy Birthday Katy!
Andrew Lloyd Webber is preparing to bring his 1980s hit musical “Cats” back to London’s West End for a limited run. Webber announced plans this week to revive “Cats”, his 1981 show based on poet T.S. Eliot’s “Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats”, for a 12-week run beginning on Dec. 6. The musical was the fourth longest-running in London when it closed in 2002 on its 21st birthday. “I think it’s just a great opportunity for us to get a second edition … with this show I think it would be great just to have a go at it again and give it a bit of a rethink,” he said at a launch event held in a London theatre on Monday. Over the years, the show has attracted many stars to its cast, including Elaine Paige, Wayne Sleep, Bonnie Langford and Brian Blessed. The original show’s director Sir Trevor Nunn said: “There’s a whole new generation of kids who haven’t seen it or discovered it.”
And I bought two tickets for Katy and I to see it over the holidays :)
