I love that dog
She’s not my dog, but I love her like she is.
This was in the woods this weekend.
It’s a hard, hard, haaaard life
Seriously. Beanbag, hand-knitted blanket (which *all* the pets and humans love), her bone, and just the tip of her paw. And the ear malfunction.
I love that dog.
Edit: I completely forgot to mention the stylish and warm cape/cloak that Katy knitted for her.

Fact 1 – NMD and her human have moved to Lausanne, where the humans are a lot more finicky about leash laws
Fact 2 – It’s been super hot these past few weeks, and Katy likes to dunk NMD in the lake to cool her off.
Fact 3 – Leash laws mean that Katy has to go in the lake with NMD
Fact 4 – Katy doesn’t like walking with wet shoes
So what to do?
Break out the ingenuity! We ordered 5m of strapping from AliExpress, and some hardware bits from Hornbach. I then spent an hour or so breaking out my mad sewing skills, and the end produxt has been tested in anger today and the results are promising!
Best stick ev4r!
Every morning for the past 4 days, we’ve been taking Eric for a walk in the woods. The best part of that, for him, has been when we fling a stick in the lake for him to fetch. After that, he just carries the stick with him until we get close to home. Every day he finds the best stick ever, at least until he finds an even better best stick ever!
Weather!
We were taking Eric out for a walk when we noticed the lake. The weather is picking up. Might be a hell of a storm later.
Cooling off in the lake
It’s turned stupidly hot again, so for our last evening walk (?) we decided to cool Not-my-dog in the lake. I think she liked it.
I’m going to miss her!

We were all in a puppy pile on the bed when the dog pretty much fell asleep…
Katy keeps asking me if I think the dog is happy or likes it here. I think the fact that she fell asleep bopping her boob, then resting her head across my neck answers the question.
