The beaver is a proud and noble animal
Notes from a bemused canuck
The oldies have come and gone – it’s only been a week – and I’ve taken upwards of a thousand pictures (though the final tally of kept pictures is closer to 400). We’ve been to Lucerne, to the Swiss transport museum, to the Victorinox museum, to the tulip festival in Morges and to the Charlie Chaplin museum. My BBQ *still* hasn’t been delivered, and we’re THIS CLOSE to putting the child up for adoption because the late nights have turned him into a completely obnoxious shithead.

So the child needs glasses, but only when he’s at school or when he’s on a computer/tablet. It’s a very small correction but it should stop him getting headaches from trying to squint all the time to focus on the blackboard. Little bugger is getting Ray Bans. Yay insurance.
Feeling jealous of my son’s designer glasses, I had to get my own (actually, I’ve been wanting to get a new pair of glasses for years now). This is me pulling a Kevin (from Ghostbusters ?).
I’ve e been spoilt by Cirque du Soleil, but I was very happily surprised by the Starlight show that was on the Parc sportif, just across the road from us. It’s not in the same league, but it holds its own and keeps its head high.
So. BBQ dilemma. I’m torn between the Weber spirit E-310 original and the Koenig (Broil-King) signet 320. Both are 3-burner grills. Both have cast iron grills and electronic ignition. The weber has more usable surface area. The koenig has more heat capacity. The weber warranty and after sale service are better. They’re both the same price. I’m torn and indecisive, so the coins have decided. Three times, three coins. Weber came out 8/9 tosses. Fate has spoken.
I was cleaning the bbq with Bean. First bit of bad news was when the flame diffusers were so brittle that they flaked away when you tried to pick them up. Next clue I need a new grill was when a large section of the drip tray fell on my feet. Poor thing, we did get our money’s worth out of it. Garden center, here I come!
