The family and the oldies went to have a chasse dinner at Le Motty on Saturday. The food was, as usual, really nice. The downside is that the wine service was a bit one-sided. The wine was quite nice though, and we should probably get a case of it.

Thanksgiving
I give thanks for the fact that we have good friends here, to share good food and good wine in a good atmosphere.

A paddling of mallards
Snapped this coming home from work last week. The duck convention was in town, discussing such varied topics as the declining quality of bread given out by the small humans, and the national security implications caused by the upsurge in immigration of the emperor duck, the slacker that manages to both steal all of the best jobs while simultaneously live off benefits.
OMG! So true!

Angry Furby is watching me sleep
Katy’s too warm and hasn’t been sleeping well these past few days, so she’s sleeping in the guest bedroom tonight. She’s left me with Angry Furby so “that he can spend the night scowling at me in her place; it’ll be like having her in bed”.
I’m part happy she thought of me, partly freaked out at having that thing stare at me all the time.
